For something much closer to Chalet Oz, there’s an enormous piece of Swiss history hidden inside the mountain in Vitznau.
Guided visits take you inside the former military fortress and through a side of the village most visitors would never know was there.
It’s definitely not the first thing you expect to find in a quiet lakeside village.
