Is there parking available?

Yes, we offer free street parking for our guests. There is a designated Chalet Oz parking space that you will have use of during your stay.

Is there any extra charge for linens or towels?

No, all bedding linens and towels are included during your stay.

Do you have Wifi?

Yes, free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Is the property family-friendly?

Absolutely! Chalet Oz is a great choice for families, including those travelling with babies and young children. We provide a travel cot, highchair, and a selection of child-friendly cutlery and plates to make mealtimes easy. The layout offers space to spread out and relax, and the peaceful location is perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring with the kids. The backyard is also fenced off and has a gate to ensure safety of your kids.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Chalet Oz.

Is the property wheelchair accessible?

No, the property is not wheelchair accessible.

Is there a pool, hot tub or sauna?

As our guest, you can enjoy discounted access to our onsite wellness space at Harmony Wellness Suite. It features a hot tub, sauna, revitalising shower, footbath, and a cozy relaxation area. Add a booking when you make a reservation (ensure availability first) or send Karen a message if you’d like to make a booking during your stay.

A pool is not available however nearby in Weggis has a heated pool.

Are there laundry facilities available?

Yes, we provide a washer and dryer for use during your stay. Laundry detergent is also available.

Is a security deposit required?

No security deposit is required however we do ask you to complete a Guest Information Form 

Are there any additional fees?

There is a cleaning fee of CHF70 per stay which will be included in your final total. The local taxes (as at November 2025) are CHF4 per person per night and for children from 12-15 years old, CHF2.25 per child per night. There is no charge for kids from 0-11. Due to the limits of the platform, these taxes will be collected separately during your stay and can be paid via cash or credit card.

Please note: Tourist tax rates are set by the local authorities and may change before your arrival. If any adjustments apply to your booking, we’ll let you know in advance.

How can I modify or cancel my booking?

We will do our best to accommodate your request without penalty, subject to availability.

Do I need to fill in a Guest Information form before arrival?

Yes—if you booked directly with us, you’ll receive a short guest info form. It covers your contact details, ID for the visitor card, and the names and ages of everyone in your group for Tourist Tax purposes. It keeps things smooth, safe, and well-organised for both of us, and only takes a moment to complete.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 5 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund.
50% Refund: Cancellations made between 3 and 4 days before the check-in date will receive a 50% refund.
No Refund: Cancellations made less than 2 days before check-in are non-refundable.

No-Show Policy: Guests who fail to arrive on the check-in date will forfeit their booking without a refund.
Cleaning Fees: Any cleaning fees paid as part of your booking will always be refunded.
Tourist Taxes
: Any tourist Taxes paid as part of your booking will always be refunded.
Extenuating Circumstances: For emergencies or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, flight cancellations, or natural disasters), we may offer a partial or full refund on a case-by-case basis (eg if we are able to rebook the cancelled dates). Documentation may be required.

What payment types do you accept?

We accept payment by credit card (via Stripe) or you can make a bank transfer.
