Chalet Oz is a modern Swiss chalet for families, friends and couples who want to slow down and enjoy the good things: mountain views, lake swims and unhurried mornings together.
Set in the quiet lakeside village of Vitznau, the chalet combines Alpine warmth with modern design. You’ll find two comfortable bedrooms, a bright living space, a full kitchen, balcony views of Lake Lucerne and a private garden made for lazy afternoons and BBQs.
Why Chalet Oz?
Close enough to wander down to the lake, restaurants and village, but tucked away enough to come home to some peace and quiet.
One queen and one twin bedroom, plus a bright shared kitchen and living area give everyone room to settle in, with space to come together and unwind.
A proper kitchen, washer-dryer, a fondue and raclette set, and a picnic backpack mean you’ll find plenty of useful touches already waiting for you.
Add a few private hours in the sauna and hot tub at Harmony Wellness. Your own private space to slow down and switch off, booked separately.
The Chalet
Two bedrooms, a full kitchen and space to make yourself at home.
There are days when you’ll be out from breakfast until evening, taking the boat across Lake Lucerne or heading up Mt Rigi. And there are days when the chalet itself is exactly where you want to be.
Make breakfast in your own kitchen and take it onto the balcony or enjoy in the back garden. Come back after a walk, put your feet up and decide whether dinner means going out, firing up the BBQ or staying in with fondue or raclette.
With two bedrooms and shared space to relax, eat and spend time together, Chalet Oz works just as well for a couple wanting extra room as it does for a family or four friends travelling together.

Private wellness next door
After a day on the lake, a visit to Lucerne or a few hours on Mt Rigi, sometimes the best plan is simply somewhere quiet to slow down.
Harmony Wellness Suite is a short walk from Chalet Oz, with a sauna, hot tub, revitalising shower and relaxation room. It’s an optional add-on, that’s booked separately and subject to availability.
When you book, the wellness suite is fully private and the entire space is yours, whether you choose to enjoy it during the day or later on.
A family-run stay
We’re the Zimmermann family and we built Chalet Oz ourselves, right here in Vitznau.
Philipp grew up in the village and Karen brought a little bit of Australia to Switzerland when she moved here. That Swiss-Australian mix has found its way into Chalet Oz too: carefully thought through, but never too formal.
We’re close by if you need us and always happy to share the places we genuinely like, from an easy local walk to where we’d go for dinner. If you have any questions during your stay, we’re never far away.

Up to four guests can stay. The chalet has one queen bedroom and one twin bedroom with two single beds, along with a kitchen and indoor and outdoor spaces to relax.
Yes. Families have two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a washer-dryer and a fenced garden. A travel cot and high chair are available on request, but please be aware that the chalet is not fully childproofed.
Yes. Harmony Wellness Suite can be booked separately, subject to availability. During the booked time, the sauna, hot tub and relaxation areas are private for your group.
One private parking space is provided at the front of the family house. A short uphill path leads from the parking area to the chalet. Paid public parking for a second car is available near the village church.
