A Few Things to Know Before You Book

We want every stay at Chalet Oz to feel relaxed, easy, and just right for you. To help make sure we’re the right fit for your trip, here are a few practical notes to consider before booking. And if you’ve got any questions — just ask. We’re happy to help.

We keep things simple but respectful. Please ensure everyone in your group is comfortable with our house guidelines — they’re designed to keep the chalet peaceful and well-loved for all guests.

In addition to the Chalet Rules outlined in the Overview section, please take the following into consideration:

• Pets are not allowed
• Smoking or Vaping inside is forbidden
• Events or parties are not allowed
• Please report any damages or breakages as soon as possible
• Please wear the slippers provided, rather than hard sole shoes

Cancellation Policy

Full Refund: Cancellations made more than 5 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund.
50% Refund: Cancellations made between 3 and 4 days before the check-in date will receive a 50% refund.
No Refund: Cancellations made less than 2 days before check-in are non-refundable.

No-Show Policy: Guests who fail to arrive on the check-in date will forfeit their booking without a refund.
Cleaning Fees: Any cleaning fees paid as part of your booking will always be refunded.
Tourist Taxes: Any tourist Taxes paid as part of your booking will always be refunded.
Extenuating Circumstances: For emergencies or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, flight cancellations, or natural disasters), we may offer a partial or full refund on a case-by-case basis (eg if we are able to rebook the cancelled dates). Documentation may be required.

Occupancy
The chalet accommodates a maximum of 4 guests. Additional guests are not permitted.

Noise Policy/Quiet Hours
To ensure a peaceful and relaxing environment for all our guests, we kindly ask that you observe quiet hours between 10PM and 7AM. During this time, please keep noise levels to a minimum, both inside and outside the chalet to ensure a peaceful environment for all neighbours.

Children & Infants
Families are very welcome at Chalet Oz. While we provide items like a travel cot and high chair on request, please note the chalet is not childproofed — there are no cupboard latches or socket covers. There is a gate that blocks off the stair entrance to the cellar so please ensure this is closed at all times when children are staying.

Pets
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at Chalet Oz.

Entertainment & Connectivity
The essentials are all here for a cosy night in or a quick catch-up with the world:

• Smart TV with Netflix access (no cable/satellite)
• High-speed wifi (perfect for streaming and video calls)

Parking
You’ll have your own private parking space which can be found at the front of our family house. Chalet Oz is a short walk from there. We kindly ask that you only use this space and avoid parking in our other parking spaces, on the road or in any neighbouring driveways.

Damages
Guests are responsible for any damages caused during their stay. Costs for repairs or replacements will be charged accordingly.

Guest Safety
Chalet Oz has implemented all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the property and its surroundings. We cannot however be held liable for any accidents that may occur on-site.

Cellar Access
We kindly ask that guests limit their access to the designated laundry area only. The stair area leading down to our garage is private.
